Audrey L. Allen focuses exclusively on immigration and nationality law. Her experience includes all types of employment and family-based immigration cases for business clients and individuals. Prior to joining Halberstadt Curley, Ms. Allen worked for the largest corporate immigration firm in the world, where she handled all the immigration needs of the firm’s largest client, a Big Four Accounting Firm.
Ms. Allen advises clients as to developing immigration policies in areas such as I-9 employment eligibility verification, avoiding national origin discrimination, and hiring and terminating foreign nationals. She presents in-house seminars on basic immigration for the general counsel and human relations departments of a multinational corporations as well as labor and employment attorneys. Ms. Allen’s areas of expertise include corporations servicing information technology consulting, accounting and taxation, and hi-tech industries.
Ms. Allen provides representation for all types of non-immigrant and immigrant visas for corporate and individual clients. She has represented clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Department of Labor, and U.S. Consulates across the globe in such matters involving deferred inspection, adjustment of status interviews, naturalization interviews, bond hearings, and removal/deportation proceedings.
Ms. Allen graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and Communications from Wake Forest University and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law- Camden. Ms. Allen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Francine I. Axelrad, Appellate Division, Superior Court of New Jersey and to Justice Van der Westhuizen, Constitutional Court of South Africa, the nation’s highest court.
